A Window Washwer's Dream Come True

The other day there seemed to be a problem with the well pressure again so I called Price Pump to come take a look. But this blog is not about the well. I had Betty Price on the phone and she told me about the amazing microfiber cleaning cloths.
Now, I am not much for spring cleaning as I prefer outside to inside as soon as the winter winds stop blowing and my garden beckens me to plant. Consequently, fall cleaning is more compelling for me since I can barely see out of the windows after the moths and flies have had their way with them all summer. I am not the world's greatest housekeeper (probably somewhere in the range of mediocre to next-to-worst) but cleaning windows was imminent and I was dreading it.
So Betty was telling me about the microfiber cloths for cleaning windows and numerous other chores she had experimented with.

"Micro-thin wedge-shaped fibers - about 1/100th the width of a human hair fit into the tiniest spaces and grab even micro-particles of dirt and grease. The wedge-shape lifts the dirt and forms channels to work like straws to draw liquid into the cloth, removing dirt and grime.

And the best part? Most of the time, you only need water to clean!

Why a new Microfiber towel?

These new towels are extra beefy so you can clean your toughest dirt, but soft enough to dust even the most delicate surfaces without scratching.

And this is the only 100% microfiber towel you can buy - with Microfiber trim and tag to reduce the chance of scratching.

You'll find hundred of uses - here are some that we love:

* Cleaning mirrors - use a damp cloth and polish dry for a streak free mirror.
* Clean spills up out of the carpet - they are so absorbent and clean so well they pull spills right out of the carpet.
* Clean crayons, fingerprints, and black marks off the walls with a damp cloth.
* Wipe off the greasy stove top - even dried on food.
* Use them to wash your face and remove make-up!

Be creative and let us know what amazing uses you find!"

What else can I say? I started the task and completed it inside and out in no time. I just couldn't quit. No newpapers to turn my fingers black, no running in and out to catch the missed spots, and no cleaning product, just hot water and a dry towel.
If you have to wash windows and are contemplating doing it any other way, FORGET IT! They are washable (be sure not to add fabric softener) and reusable. Thanks, Betty!
By the way there are other applications for the cloth I found on the internet. Underwear, models not included.

Happy Birthday Phil, 49 and Holding

I always loved this picture, his 3rd birthday I believe, in Texas. Reveals his quirky sense of humor.

Phil always appeared to be optimistic or hopeful at least.

Then the mystery brother goes off to join the Coast Guard. I thought that was very adventurous as I just muddled around here and there. After all these years the investment should pay off if Phil can just talk himself into retirement. I envy his options at this point. Especially being able to work on his house and in the yard without ever having to go to work again!

His beautiful property in Virginia could very well be in the neighborhood where some of the first Wolfs we can trace resided. Phil has been drawn back to the East Coast for reasons of his own, lending to the mystery of a younger sibling whom I never got to know well enough.

Hope you will share some of this exuberance with me in the near future. I love you and hope we can make up for lost time soon.
